thinking of doing this in a year or so maybe even start looking for a frame...and i was wondering which frame would eb best?i was thinking a 250r frame, but please tell me wat u think will work. if its possible i would want the engine to bolt right in without welding becaue i dont own one yet. also do u think it owuld be fast?

 

Good engine choice, but it will rattle your fillings out. 250R frame would be you best bet I think.

 

What about the banshee frame?

 

I have been told that the KX500 motors vibrate less than the CR500's..

But I suggest that you get in contact with bansheeesmoker. He has done the whole CR500 in a 250R frame.

 

ya its either im gonna do something wit a big 2 stroke engine or im just gonna buy a cr250 but i would rather have a quad so im trying to see what would work out

 

any chassis with a lot of vibration dampening is what you'll want. 250r chassis is a good choice for fit, but your going to want a lot of polyurethan on it. The CR's are faster and have more power potential in aftermarket upgrades. IE 600cc bore/stroke kits

 

will the whole 500 engine with the case and tranny mount right into the old 250r mounting spots?

 

you'll need to do some fabrication.

 

I have seen in a mag a CR500 in a raptor frame..Looked pretty good.

The raptor engine needs a new frame, not the other way around.

There was a cr500 eng in a 250r frame on ebay a few weeks ago. Looked like a decent bike and it went for a lot cheaper than I think you could make it.
