I decided to build a 250r from strach over the winter. what thing should or shouldn't i do. should i get the same year frame engine swingarm. i know everything else will fit but not sure about those three things

What happened to putting the R engine in ur ex frame? i tohught u had a 310 engine?

hay this is right up my alley i swaped some 250r parts i happen to know the 86 and 87 parts will fit like a glove and parts from a atc r will to!!
86 atc and 4 trx 250R GO BIG OR GO HOME!

I have always kinda thought this would be the best way to go if you are building a full on racer, that way you dont have the extra expense of stuff you dont need like stock parts and stuff.

I am pretty sure most of the parts off any TRX R will work together, and a lot of them off the ATC r's as well.

Last winter(1999-2000) me and my friends have built own quad. The frame of this quad is similar as a banshee but more width(55inch) for the best stability in curve!! the seat heigth is 26inch
and the engine is a ROTAX 500cc twin 85HP ( 2mikuni carb 38mm and rotary valve with variable exhaust system) this quad is really fun to ride!! if U have question or if U want see some pics of this send me a e-mail!!

 

Ask Raychalp (Adam Raychel). He basically built his from scratch. He might be able to give you a few suggestions.
