taking it apart

How do I take my top end off, I cant seem to pull it off to easy. I have a 86 250R

Assuming you have the headstay, pipe, and carb off, remove the 4-14mm base nuts. Take a soft rubber or plastic mallet and tap upwards on the cylinder. Keep moving from one side to the other. When you reassemble the engine, use some never sieze on the dowels to prevent them from freezing up again.

I just took my banshee apart, one of the pistons were stuck in the cylinder, the rubber hammer thing diddnt work I ended up putting it in first had my friend hold the cylinder and I stood on the back tire and rocked it EASILY back and forth (be careful you might tweak something) and eventually it came out.
