Getting an aftermarket stator for my banshee with 200 watts and will be runnig two sets of lights. One will be on the handle bars and the other in the stock location. My question is when I ordered they said I would have to bypass my switch on the handle bars and let the lights run all the time. Could I not use the stock switch to run one set and use a toggle to run the other? The stator has two 100 watt outputs so they are seperate, and both have there own regulator. Any help or advise is appreciated

I beleive the reason they want you to leave the lights on is because your voltage regulators will be unable to bleed off the extra wattage you will have when the lights are off. You could try adding two more voltage regulators or putting a switch between the stator and the voltage regulators, that way there is no load on the regulators. The light switch on the handle bars is after the voltage regulator and it will regulate the voltage weather or not you have the lights on or not. If you don't ride at night very often you could just unplug the lighting part of the stator until needed(this is very easy on 250r's) just make sure put tape over the end or better yet make a dummey plug that plug in and keep it clean. hope I have helped
