How hard is it to put on a Denton steerin' stabilizer. How long and what tools will it take?
I saw one for $130.That seems pretty cheap. It says it is the best suspension upgrade you can get.I think ill order one just wonderin' how hard it is to install! Thanks in advance!

Well I just put one on my banshee the other night and took about an hour or so. I haven't taken it out yet just up the street but I can tell it is there already. I like it because you can adjust it with out taking it off like some of the others.

They are easy to install but would not suggest the Denton model, they develop "slop" or freeplay in them rather easy, mine wore out after 2 races, the one from Pep is much better and cheaper.

I have had a Denton for a couple of months now. It was very easy to install. The only thing I didn't like about it was the angle it was on when installed with the bracket that came with it. It was probably 25 degrees down from perpendicular to the steering shaft. I thought this would only contribute to early failure of the bushings on each end. I made a new cross member, welded it into a better position, and did away with the original aluminum bracket. Now it is almost perfectly perpendicular and I think it will last a lot longer. Hope this helps.

BUYER BEWARE...IF YOU RUN CANS ON YOUR FRONT SHOCKS ON A 400EX, THE DENTON WILL NOT FIT!! IT HAS TO MOUNT THE SAME PLACE YOUR RESEVOIRS DO! ! GO PEP ! ! ! USE THE PEP! ! ! ITS CHEAPER AND BETTER..

I've heard tons of stories of the PEP wearing seals out after just a couple rides..my buddy has a 400EX with TCS shocks..the cans do NOT get in the way of his denton at all.

Dill, is right I have TCS shocks on my 400EX and all you have to do is mount the cans a little higher it really is now big deal, It all looks pretty sweet to me and I have had no problems. Also, I think the Denton stabilizer is great, and a must have with the wider a-arms.

I have the Denton unit on my 400EX and absolutely love it. It made a big difference to me in reducing forearm fatigue and the shocks that get transfered through the handlebars. I had a hard time installing the unit- it was difficult to position without it binding at some point in its travel. I had to reposition both clamps numerous times to get it right. The Denton unit has more "clicks" of adjustment than the PEP but it probably don't matter because it seems to work best for me at one click off the maximum setting.

I hafta agree with trailmix....not easy to install, great upgrade though! I got mine cranked up full blast and it really helps my Razr's cut the trails like a knife, instead of oversteering to stay alive.
