i have beat my freinds 450r and im wondering who think that those quads are good becuase i was looking to get one

I think the Honda 450R is a very good machine. I chose the YFZ personally, but I definately don't think the 450R is a bad machine by any means....

 

First off, I would bet that the 450 was bone stock??? They come in pretty mild tune from the factory. A cam, open airbox, and aftermarket pipe make a dramatic difference in this machine. I like it for open desert riding. If you want to trail ride it, you will need some gearing changes. For me, when I trail ride, I just pick one of the 400's instead.

My buddy has a vintage 250R, that is piped and has a K&N. He went on a Glamis ride with two new piped Predators (I unfortunately missed that trip). He said that he was surprised that he was kicking their buts all day long!

well i would hope, what do you have invested into your bike? how many thousand dollars?

 

well mr thewayour420 i'll bet your 400 2stroke fully modded beat a 450 "piped". but i bet if you threw in a few turns you would have been burnt to a crisp.

 

trxfofiddyr i also have beat my share of piped 450's and i have less invested im my bike than a stock hondas msrp including all my mods but im still selling it and buying a trx450r lol

 

Who cares really, nobody in here is gonna get anywhere because nobody is going to agree here. The honda guys are gonna stick with honda and the polaris guys are gonna stick with polaris. Ride whatever the hell you feel like riding and be happy that you have a bike. And honesty, in my opinion, my stock 450 will lay the smack down on any stock predator out there.

 

Congradulations on the win.One of my friends has a Honda 450R.It has a pipe,filter,rev box,and different cams.It seems to run really good.Think he would beat most of the predators I've seen.The 450R's I saw a week ago at an atv park seemed pretty quick too.They look to really respond well to mods.Most of the Predators I've seen didn't impress me.Still,if you're beating them,I'd say you are doing something right.Again,congradulations.
