19cc Domes on pump gas??
#2
I don't think so.
I'm not a professional, so wait and see (rather read) some experienced guy's replies.
However, I don't think a 19cc dome will run on pump gas. On dirtwheels, they tested a banshee with 22cc domes and ran race gas. I've read that 20cc is the minimum.

i would say that 20cc is about the lowest you should go AT sea level, i know others will disagree that prolly live above sea level b/c as you go up in altitude the compression lessens. u can buy domes for about 60-70bucks, maybe u can get the guyu to drop the price a lil bit and sell u just the head without domes and get different size domes, 20cc, 21cc or 22cc...unless u feel like running race gas, also as you go up on the compression(goin down on dome sizes) u may consider having your crank trued and welded to prevent the crank to split in the future. but yes you can use the coolhead with a stock motor.

Here in Colorado the octane for premium pump gas is 91. I ride at 5000 ft. altitude. I cannot run the 19 domes without at least a 50/50 race gas mix. Runs best with 100% race gas. My compression with a stock cast piston was 140psi. Compression now with a Vito's forged piston is now at 155psi.

i run 19cc domes and i live at 3200 feet. i have had absolutely no problems the machine runs great. i have around 139 for compression. i wouldnt worry about using race fuel unles your compression starts getting over 150. i run 91 octane
