Exhaust and Jetting on 2000 Yamaha Warrior
#1
Good day to all...
I've got a 2000 Yamaha Warrior.
Over the holidays, I'm adding a HotCam, changing the airbox to a custom aluminum, adding a K&N, and will be redoing the topend (piston/rings)
I currently run a Supertrapp ISD2 exhaust. However, I am considering changing this - It is WAY TOO loud!!!
Now, my questions are this:
What is a good exhaust system; one that adds good power, but not loud enough to drive you crazy?
What jets will I need to run after my rebuild?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Stage 1 hot cam helps on you low to mid range pull.
I had a wisco 10.25.1 piston on my first built i did not like it at all. So i went with the 366 JE Big Bore Kit With 12.1 and i like it alot.
If i was you i would go with a full Exhaust The head pipe helps a warrior out alot. Sparks makes a good exhaust system for about $400.00
You will have to wait till you get it built for the jetting all quads are diffent. I think i run like 175 on my main jet but i dont have an airbox.

I just noticed this...
I forgot to add that I am going with a 0.0020" over piston.
I don't know if this will make any difference in the jetting.
Also, does winter riding make a difference in jet sizing?
I'd love to get this beast on the lake over New Years!!

I was looking at a FMF system with the Powerbomb Header, and probably an MegaMax muffler.
There is a little diffents in hot and cold jetting but i dont think there is enough to make a diffents.
Im fixing to build a YFZ for the flat track and put the warrior to rest on the raceing part. my wife will be rideing it so im going to tone it down abit. its a same but if i leave it like it is she will end up getting hurt on it.
Warriors are fun to build up it just takes alot of money to get them to run with the rest. But right now im 2nd in point about 8 out of 1st at oklahoma sports park in ada on the flat track. And its fun becouse im beating YFZ and 450Rs with it. But its not about HP its all about setup.
