Well probably the cheapest way to increase your speed is either going up a sproket size in the front which would be equal to going DOWN 3 sizes in the back. The bad thing about this is that it affects your acceleration.

Recently added the following to my son's (age 13) 2000 Blaster: Pro Circuit pipe and silencer, Boyesen rad valve, K & N filter, AMP Link. This is now a "bad motoscooter". Next step is adding Vito's powerstroke piston.

Clean the quad (very clean!). Remove the cylinder head, following the shop manual directions. Take it to a machine shop you trust and get .020 inch milled off the gasket surface. Reinstall with new gasket. Check jetting.

Increased compression gives more power. My wifes still runs fine with 93 pump gas.

I just wanted to know how well the Pro Circuit pipe worked on the Blaster. Does it sound good and is the power gain negociable. Thanks WarriorSki.

With the first mods made of Pro Circuit pipe/ spark arrested silencer and K & N filter, our 2000 Blaster sounded dramatically better and there was a noticeable improvement in performance. Rejetting was not required with these mods. While we chose the Pro Circuit, you can't go wrong with FMF either.
