Ok, I finally blew this beast of an engine up(87 LT250r). IT seized up solid (unable to crank AT ALL). Now, what should i do next? Heres my plan, get an 88-92 LT250 cylinder (87's had different intake designs) and get it ported and have the head reshaped and what not. As for the old cylinder, what should i do with it? Is there some place i could buy a big bore kit for it, I would want to do most of the work myself. ( I can do the boring at school in machine shop class). Or should i just wait and have it resleeved to stock size so i can have a spare for when i go on trips?

My next issue is the clutch (this is the reason it blew) the clutch went, it revved insanely, over heated, blew a base gasket, sucked in hellah air, then molded the piston to the cylinder wall (fun stuff by the way) what should I do about the clutch? What's the best atermarket clutch out there?

For now most of the chassis is stock, but will be chaning over time. First upgrade is going to be The axle carrier and swingarm (the bearings were shot and it ovaled the swingarm, and caused the axle carrier to oval out also.) The probably front suspension. Then rear suspension, then an Axle. If i get A-arms they probably will be +2, but then I'd have to get my shocks re-worked, and im not all about spending extra money (cheap cheap cheap).

For now i guess i am going to have to upgrade the broken parts on the quad (like the brakes and small parts on the engine, well of course there is the matter of rebuilding it too.) This is going to be a long project. Hopefully it'll complete by next spring. There is a great chance it wont be complete though. I am a high school student that works part time and pays for a truck every month.

Please excuse any mispellings or misuse of grammer.
