Never seen sand that was a fine dust. It's actually a fairly large particle where I ride. K&N works great. Wouldn't give a squirt for outerwears either.

For wet or extremely dusty conditions, I would consider a Uni. My $.02.

I ordered a K&N, for trail riding, for performance. I will put the stock filter back in on dusty rides. You just have to get a freezer bag, have the stock filter oiled and put in the bag, and put it in the pack on your quad incase you start riding gravels in the rear of the group

 

Amen to that V2...carry about 2 filters if your riding in drought land and bring some filter cleaner and oil because your buddys will need it when they get clogged up [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

uni all the way dude, i just got 1 on my '04 250 ex.... there cheap and not costly... not to mention inexpensive or easy on you wallet....

 

K&N is usually a better choice but UNI is a bit cheaper and works just fine.

 

okk...but who notices some speed or power gain...and how would either of them do on a 250ex?

 

the K & n because it lets more air get through

 

I have a K&N and it does help your bike breathe easier

 

It's a 250ex, just get the foam and keep it clean.
