I have been looking at some lock up clutches for Banshees. First off, I dont drag race much at all. I stricktly dune ride and was wondering if the lock up would be a good investment. I have been looking at the direct drive lock ups. I am not familiar with these at all.

 

dont quote me on this, but i ve heard they are for more of a drag race prefrence. i was looking at 1 to. i heard if you dune or trail ride or just mess around then they are a pain in the a$$. most of the time they are used for paved track drags. anyone else with info would be great. thats just hear say.sorry if i didnt help any. good ???

 

nice picts!!!! ive seenthe one with your wifes warrior and your shee in the back ground in DIRT WHEELS last year. you did a he!! of a job on it.

 

They are great for drag racers.If you make enough power to require stiff clutch springs then the lock-up would allow you to use stock springs.Makes pulling the clutch lever alot easier.Just my opinion.

 

call jeff wendorff at farm and sand toys(f.a.s.t.)- holton kansas. i just ordered 1 of his clutch kits, well worth it and a good person to talk and shop with. i think his kits use motocycle clutches. it was kind of hard to stuff it in ,but after it was is and warmed up, it was well worth it. same $ as any other aftermarket clutch. i went with the light springs (up to 100hp) he also has heavy(100 +).

Jeff does use the crotch rocket clutches.Best clutch I've ever tried.
They done really well for my alcohol banshee.
