Help..Motor Boggs
#1
My friend has had his polaris 400 in storage for 4 months. Today we pulled it out and it doesnt run good at all. It boggs bad{almost dies} if you punch it from idle and power seems to be way down. We changed the plug and fuel filter but that didnt help. The bike ran perfectly before it was put into storage. We are thinking the carb may be gumed up form sitting so long. if so what is the best way to fix it.
Thanks All

Andy,
Sounds like you got sit-n-go sour syndrome!
Completely drain the fuel tank and re-fill with fresh fuel, pull the carburetor off and carefully dismantle it, clean it, and reassemble.
You should be good to go then..!!
Oh, check for dirt dobber nests.. you'd be surprised where they can get!!
