When I was running the stock clutch lever and perch, I was able to start my quad in any gear as long as I had the clutch engaged. I swapped the stock lever and perch with an aftermarket lever and perch and since then I am not able to start my quad unless I'm in neutral. Does this have anything to do with those 2 electrical wires on the stock perch?

You could tie those two wires together, but then it will start with out the clutch engaged
