Decked out Blaster or YFZ450R?

imo your going to spend all this $ on tricking out a blaster that will just keep up with stock or close 2 stock 450s. then to only sell it for 1/3 of what u have into it. even if u cant get the brand new yfz450r there r other 450s that will be more priced in your range.

I dont have money for a 450 though..... the reason I have a blaster is because its financially applicable.</end quote></div>
So why did you make the post then? If you are looking at dumping more than $2500.00 into the Blaster in the next year, I would just ride it stock, maybe find a few used go fast goodies like a pipe and shocks. Take that cash and look for an '04/05 YFZ or 450R Honda. There are a lot of nice examples out there around the 3K mark and I gaurantee you will need a lot more than 3K to make a Blaster perform in the same ballpark as a 450 of any vintage.
The other thing I always remind myself of when drooling over the latest and greatest is that my current ride still has me out on the track and trails and that is good enough.

I say ride the tires off the Blaster then, but don't waste any money moding it up to much. Save the money for a future purchase.....
