i have a stock banshee, and the motor was removed, when it was reassembled, the motor wont rev now. it starts right up, but it wont go over idle. i can hold it wide open and it just surges for like a min then dies, there is plenty of fuel, and spark, and i have no idea what the problem is.

 

You don't happen to have the parking brake on while you rev, do you?

Give us a little more info about what was done to the quad.

 

tors system went bad somonewhere.
check the switch at the parking brake and check the on at the throttle lever. they both went bad on my 97. if they r good check the ones on the carbs.

 

thanks for the help, it had a bad switch at the throttle, i was just out riding in the snow, it kicked ***. but i kept getting stuck, i think some new holeshots are on the way...
