Default Back cutting transmission gears

Anyone ever back cut their own gear dogs or had them done? I've read a lot of people on other forums doing this with a milling machine or Dremel. I have a transmission with gear dogs worn off an 03 raptor 660, but not to the point where they need replacing. I possibly want to attempt this fix and may start a new thread if I do. I know they have to be exact and mesh properly to prevent a one dog only engagement.
Any thoughts?
