IceMan11: I've order from Rocky Mountain ATV probably 10 or so times. I am been completely satisfied every time. I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience with them. Did you ask to talk to the manager or owner to resolve your dispute?

Daredevil1- I'm sorry you had problems with trenga. I had my motor built thru them and they went out of their way to help before I decided to go with them and after. Eric has even continued to help with the jetting of my carb. The only problems with anyone I have ever had was with chapparel, they never have the parts in stock and can never tell you when they will get it in. Great prices on what they do have though.

I agree. Chapparals prices are really good. I have had some problems with them not having parts in stock also.

Iceman, I ordered a holeshot from RockymountainATV and it leaked to. IT's the mold. YOu need to call ITP about them.

Now....on with the bisiness.....

BAD:

TC Racing- I called TC about some motor work for my Mojave. I explained to him that my main sponsor, IdahoATV.com, is tricking out my suspension on my Mo and now I need motor work. I also explained that I am racing in some 4-stroke C GNC nationals this year. He then proceeded to tell me I was wasting my time and that I would never compete against abounch of YZF440's. When I reminded him that I am only going to race C-class and that this is basically an experimantal project, he REALLY got rude. I even told him that all I wanted was some motor work. I didn't want my little 250cc Mojave to spank Doug Gust's or Tim Farr's $20,000 quads. I told him that Paul Turner himself told me that TC is the only place I should take it. Well.......NOT!!!!!!!

Recreation Parts Unlimited- I ordered 4-8" platic bolt on numbers, 3-#1 & 1-#8. WHat I got was 4 packs of vinal 8" numbers. I called and complained and they told me that the web site wasn't updated. That was 2 months ago and it's still not updated.

GOOD:

RockymountainATV.com- VERY GOOD! I have had nothing but great things to say about this fine group of people. I highly recommend them.

Four Stroke Tech- I know people are complaining about the 4-6pm phone thing that Mickey does. When I have called him he has always been very helpful. I haven't purchased anything from him as of yet, but am about to purchase on of his 330cc kits. I would recommend him.

That's about all I have to say right for right now.

Have you contacted Powroll www.powroll.com ? They raced and won on the Mojave more than any other engine builder. They still carry product for the Mojave also, which many of the shops have discontinued.

BTW, I think most of the complaints about Dunlap have been of the shoddy workmanship/poor work ethic type. At least, that's what I've seen. Maybe someone who has dealt with him can give you a better idea. It's been years since I sold anything to him.

Pam, Powroll told me that they are not carrying anymore Mojave pats after their current stock of valves and rods are gone.

Lurch,
I dont know if they do motor work for the Mojave or not, but i have heard good things about a place called PRO FAB ATV. They make HUGE bore kits for the 300/400EX, and other quads, you may want to give them a try. Also, i hear White Bros. does good four stroke porting/work also. I dont know, but does Sparks do Mojaves?? If he does, i hear his motors are scary fast.

Lurch,

I have it from a good source that they will always do the stroker crank for the Mojave. The rod they use is a stock one, so as long as kawie makes the parts, Powroll will do the stroker.

The valves will be a special order, but will only take a week or two to get even if they're out of stock.

The only thing they don't have is pistons. That's the hardest thing to find for the Mojave is a good quality big bore piston kit.
