I own a 1999 yamaha warrior and for about 1 month now it doesn't start when cold normally, you have to push it, than it would start on its own most of the time. Yestarday i was trying to start it and it did not, i pushed the reverse back and forth not engaging it to the reverse and i noticed that the battery engaged or something similar. The start worked before this just that it did not start. Well, after this it did start and continued to start. What could be wrong?

If I'm not mistaken, grounding the wire to the reverse lever should stop your problem.

As far as not wanting to start cold, I have yet to see a Yamaha 350 that did. They do seem to be cold blooded.

Sounds like an electrical problem to me. I'd test the battery to make sure it's ok. I'd also test to see if there is any power draw from the battery when the quad isn't running.
