I'm riding a stock blaster( as of now ) and i wanted it to be able to keep up with a 250R, 125KX, and banshee. With this stock blaster i can have no problem smoking a 250x or a trailblazer. AM i looking at a new pipe, boring the heads and such? Is there any slight mods i can w/o breaking the bank? Thanks- Smitt

dude my first ride was a blaster and they are very fun bike to ride and reliable as hell. my blaster was bored had a filter and some holeshots on the back. other than that it was pretty much stock and it could walk all over my buddies 300ex. then my buddy got a banshee. trust me dude save up your coin, sell your blaster over the winter and buy a 250r. i would cost you a fortune to the horsepower gain you want out of a blaster. stock blasters only have about 17 to 19 horse power where most banshee's are 250r you see have like 35 to 40 if not more. blaster are rad bike's but not compared to high perfomance bikes.

I'm gonna have to agree with undeadinfantry on this one. I just sold my Blaster not that long ago to buy a 250r. My Blaster had an fmf pipe and silencer, K&N filter w/ air box lid removed, Vitos degree key and high comp gasket kit. At the time I thought I had one bad machine. I could smoke my cousins stock Blaster no problem. I thought "hey just a little more money and I bet this thing could keep up with a Banshee and a 250r". Well I thought wrong. I found a good deal on a 250r so I decided to get it and sell the Blaster. After I got my 250R, I couldn't believe how much more power it had then my Blaster. The Blaster wasn't even in the same ballgame as the 250R. The only mods my R has is a pipe and trust me it would walk all over a modded Blaster. It probably can be done, but the money it would cost would soooo not even be worth it. Sell the Blaster and get an R. I love mine and would never go with anything else.

Smitty: you can make your blaster fast, you need a pipe and cylinder porting, prolly a carb also.then you need suspention goodies so that you can handle the speed, the swing-arm extention is a must, wider a-arms and shocks, and a wider rear axel. Fischer cycle or Baldwin motorsporst(both in ashtabula) can help you.""BUT"" I've typed all this mostly to explain why the other posts here are correct in their thinking
