need ideas for motor mounts on big bore conversion

Actually I was just thinking all snowmobile engines are rubber mounted. The mounts off my ski doo would work. Go to www.Denniskirk.com and look up the snowmobile section. The rubber is kind of hard so there shouldent be too much flex.

<< KillerKX,
I know this is off the subject but, Did you by that T4 off ebay or was it yours and you were selling it? Thats the SWEETEST Tecate Ive ever seen!!!! Good luck with you project. I just shoehorned a lt500 motor in a lt250 chassis. It is fun. You`ll like it. >>
that was mine and i put it on e-bay just for $hits and giggles.i didn't really wanna sell it. i just wanted to see if i could get anythiung out of it if i did try to sell it. and thanks. i really likeit alot.it's the best handling and jumping quad i've ever ridden.and hopefully it's going to be the fastest one i've ridden soon. i have an idea for for rubber mounts that i think is going to work just fine.
hey everyone thank you for the input, and now i think i might have this problem solved. we'll update the atv connection once the machine is ready to roost.

This may or may noot work since I am not sure how it mounts. Try using some rubber in between the engine and the metal mounts. You can pick some up at oil feild supply stores if they are any around you, its used as a gasket. I know this is simplistic but I'm just trying to help. Another idea if you are real handy would be to come up with some fluid filled mounts.

I have heard of putting silicone in the handlebars, but not expanding foam. I think the silicone might do a little better job. On my YZ490, I added aluminum bark busters. The extra weight at the ends of the handle bars will reduce vibration there. Removing the handle bar cross bar will also reduce vibration.
