Honda Recon Intake

Where exactly did it crack? did it get smashed up near the top where it mounts? how big/long is the crack? When my son was riding a Recon, I cut out the end of the air intake, it was very small, but the air flow after wards was way too much,even after I melted/welded some of the plastic back on,I had to go up 4 jet sizes to make it run right. If that clear air intake snorkle is what you cracke,and no pieces are missing, you can take a propane torch,(first take the snorkle out of the quad) and slowly heat it up until it just starts to liquefy,then let it run together,let it cool,and check for more cracks. The plastic it is made of melts and runs together very nice,you should be able to get a good fix like that,just be REAL careful not to melt too much at a time.

This is the intake between the carb and head. Looks as though it has dry rotted.
