ya you could stuff a sled engine in one, then make sure you get the p-85 secondary for it also, the clutching thats on there right now is from the indy lite, you will need to make a stinger for the end of the exhuast, because you dont want that big can from the sled on your right foot board. if i was going to spend the money and countless hours to do this project I wouldnt waste my time using a sissy 700 or 800 twin, that maybe produces 120-135 hp on its best day. i would go with the fuji/polaris 800 tripple tripple, with a little blue print work, up the squish a little for 92 octane and by the time you have pipes built to fit in the frame you are at an easy 190+ hp that you can ride all day long, assuming you can hang on. that hp should shoot a scrambler to close to 130 in 1000'!!!!!!!!

Saw a guy last summer that lives near St. Anthony with a 400 scrambler chassis 2X4, with a 700 RMK motor in it... Frame was lengthened, running snowmobile gear/chain box, extended swingarm, modified Aaen scrambler 400 pipes and a whopper of a radiator.
He was also running 16 paddle extreme haulers... I've never seen anything this fast up thunder mtn.
He was giving modd'd shee's 1/2 hill head start and whipping them to the top! That dude was BAD ***!
SO now I'm doing R&D on one... only using a qracer 250 chassis and a rotax powerplant... should be fun!!

We wanted to stuff a 110 hp snow engine in a 2001 Scrambler.
But after the '98 Sport 440 HPH extreme Kit I wonder if you need it. The 440 is almost always out of control. You can't handle it with 22" tires on it, So we put 25" tires on it. And still can't keep it from spinning all the time with 2.5lbs of air. This thing is an Animal, a Fricking Animal. It out runs my 650 Prairie with total ease. 64mph on 650 and the 440 blows by like you sitting still. Half gas on full run or you loose control or wheelie to much on the Sport 440.

i haven't done a sled motor conversion yet but i've done a suzuki lt230 with a ninja 600r motor and am in the process of doing a suzuki lt250r with an fz1 1000 motor in it. the sled conversion can't be that hard. i would rather put an inline 4 in it and be done. killer sound.

klf400: I've seen the big inline4's run, and they are impressive... and sound awesome!
But the weight becomes an issue. The sled motors are very light, and extremely strong.... put one on the bottle and hang on! No shifty shifty either...
