having probs,,,not charging, says check engine,, shows overheating, it doesnt,, fan not cutting in,,do work if ran direct,,,

 

Sounds like a faulty ecm especially if it's not charging and the fan doesn't cycle on and off. Ecm module controls charging and fan operation. Even if you replaced it under the recall, newer replacement Shure power modules have done the same thing. OPT ATV :*Polaris Ind. expands recall of ATVs
