Removed plug boot and checks out at 5 ohms, coil tab to end of wire is 6.3 exactly but with boot on and tab to end of wire with boot is 11.88. Yeah I don't know.

If you're not sure just take the coil to most any cycle shop. They should have a coil checker,simple one minute check to see if the coil is good or not! Better than throwing expensive electrical parts at it. OPT

Haha, ohm out stator. It was almost 450 ohms. I think I found the problem. It must have gotten pretty wet when cb seals went bad. It was a little rusty too.

Should be 120 ohms resistance. Hopefully this is the problem. Make sure you check the flywheel magnets out as they were bad about the epoxy holding them in place cracking and destroying stators. Good luck. OPT

I know its the 4 th but I had a little time. Tore the stator apart again and low and behold a big burnt hole in the housing that wraps the excitor coil. I don't know if that would cause it not to work but I'm thinking so.
