Just bought this bike and had it out for the first time today. Ran great for 2-3 hours then all sudden it died. Could get it started but only by fluttering the throttle. Couldnt give it steady throttle or would die. Waited for an hour an it started up fine. Ran great for bout half hour and done the same thing...any ideas on what i can check?

Welcome! I'd have the fuel pump pressure checked by hooking a pressure gauge on the fuel rail schrader valve. Just turn the key on,bleed air from the gauge, shut the valve and pressure should hold 39 psi + or - 2 psi. Could be a weak fuel pump. If fuel pump pressure is good, then it could be a sensor wiring harness problem. Look at the "sticky" post above this section on efi wiring harness and connector problems. Plus I wouldn't over look some of the obvious things like a dirty air filter and pre filter, plus a general check of the sensor wiring off the throttle body for any cuts or soft spots in the wiring. Also make sure the thumb throttle has only 1/8" slack or the etc switch can cause problems.
