Default 94 polaris 300 2x4 no start :(

Hi,

I have a 94 polaris 300 2x4, and I just replaced the needle and seat b/c i was getting a steady flow of fuel from the |overflows. That issue is fixed (i hope lol) When iwas reinstalling the carb I replaced the oil line with a longer one b/c the short oem one was causing me to lose hair haha. Anyway, i got it all back together and now the quad wont fire. Its getting spark, fuels coming to the carb, the plug isn't wet just smells like gas. I tried starting fluid but that didnt seem to do anything. From my research i would think its compression? But im no mechanic Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you haven't changed the plug do that first.Old one could simply be fouled or even partially fouled. If this doesn't help then yes a compression check would be the next thing to do.Plus depending on how long it's been overflowing on gas,the crank case could be full. Hold the throttle wide open and see if you can clear any excess fuel when trying to start.

Thanks! I see you have a 92 night hawk I just picked myself up a 83 750 magna v45. It has about 73 thousand kliks they last forever! haha. Only issue is theres only 40 psi in number one cylinder and the rest are at about 140. But I played with the jetting screws and it runs good

DO you kno what the plug should be gaped at? is it .028"?

Shows to take the same plug as mine. .035 gap.https://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/x,car...park_Plug.html
40 psi not too good on that one cylinder.

Yea, see I picked it up for $850 so im not sure if I want to put money into it.

The crankcase being flooded makes sense to me...it probably overfilled quite a bit. I will get someone to hold the throttle down while I pull the rope (estart doesnt work on this one either)
