ok guys i have 2 questions i just bought my son a 96 300 polaris xplorer 4x4 need some answers
1st question is y does it have a belt and a chain on it
and
2nd is y does it keep dying everytime u put it into reverse its starting to get agrvating thanks

Yes it does have belt driven clutch system from the engine to the transmission,then the final drive is chain and sprockets.You can solve the dying problem by pulling the black wire from the reverse limiter on the circuit board located under the front panel. This module fails on almost all Polaris models after awhile. You will now have full power in reverse without having to push the over ride button on the left control switch. Item #29. Click on the first link I showed! Shows the module on the left,circuit board right above it.. Just unplug the black wire from the limiter and tape it up if you wish. This will defeat the module..
