Nope never replaced the old fan and blade system with the enclosed system,just from all the years of dealing with the fan blades/burnt out motors, I knew how to install one where it wouldn't fly off. Have heard of others that have rigged an enclosed type up,but haven't seen one myself. If you have the blade mounted as you say with rivets and it doesn't vibrate,I'd just leave as is.

 

I will leave it as is until something happens and then prob change the radiator again, the last time I changed it the person I bought it from on ebay said it was one off of a 500 but infact it was off of a 300 or something it was like 3 in shorter I was able to make it work because he would not take it back and I did not want to mess around with filing a complaint on ebay and it has worked for a year or so...
