Polaris Sportsman 90 - Starts w Starting Fluid then shuts down
Hi!
I have an older Polaris Sportsman 90 - it Starts when I spray Starting Fluid in thru the air cleaner.....then shuts down when the spray runs out.
It has new fuel in the tank, the fuel **** is set to "ON" and I have tried the "RES" setting as well....any help is appreciated

Place your thumb over the air box inlet tube and see if it will crank. Have to do this a lot on some of the little ones. If it still doesn't crank, just disconnect the fuel line at the carb and turn the fuel on. If it flows ok then sounds like you need to clean the carb. Starting fluid is lighter than gas and will start most engines until it runs out.If the carb's really jelled up you may need a carb kit. Expensive for oem style kits, since you can find complete carbs for about the same amount or less on ebay.Polaris 90 Predator 90 Sportsman carb rebuild kit 03-421 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Carburetor-FITS-POLARIS-SPORTSMAN-90-2001-2006-Electric-Choke-Carb-/270921000415?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f142665df&vxp=mtr
