2001 Polaris Sportsman 500HO Upgrade Thermal Sensor Harness???
#1
Hey all I own a Polaris Sportsman 500HO and my switch for the radiator fan to turn on is not working. (Thermal Sensor Harness Polaris Pt. # 4010161) I was told that there is a upgrade Thermal Sensor Harness for some kind of car in a regular auto parts store would fit it and preform even better than the OEM Polaris part. Is this so and if so what do I need for a replacement?? My 500HO is a 2001 Polaris Sportsman 500HO. Any help I could get would be great, Thanks so much..

This one will work(Wells SW526),just splice in your existing connector.Around $25 or less.About half the price of an oem sensor. Kicks fan on at 194 degrees, off at 174 degrees which is close to Polaris oem specs.Actually for a Nissan Stanza. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...entifier=31702 Plus here's a list of other items that may help over dealer parts people have found.http://forum.highlifter.com/Make-a-l...d-m888094.aspx

I have a 2001 as well and changed the sensor. I have a Blue Streak TS-127 but any sensor for a 84-88 Nissan Maxima or 86-89 Stanza works.
You will have to splice you old sensors connector plug on or wire direct. There's only two black wires.
