Crank seals or to lean main jet,but from what I went through most of the time it was the crank seals especially the one behind the drive clutch. Had several like this that were jetted correctly and would idle ok but race off idle. IF the machine is new to you best to check the jetting any way. 30 pilot jet,240 main was stock but some would lean them up a tad to a 230 main jet at least down in our area(around 600 ft above sea level) to keep them from being too boggy.Polaris set them up too rich from the factory really on purpose. They knew what people would do with them. Depends on what altitude you're at and temperature too on correct jetting.

I believe I have a bigger main in it.it also has a Dynaport pipe along with a reed spacer plus I believe the cylinder has some port work done as well.can I spray around the crank seals with the clutch still oneed or do I need to remove them and the backing plate.

You can try to spray down into the backing plate area and see if you notice a change in engine speed. If you remove the clutch cover and backing plate might as well replace it any way since you're already there.

Is it fairly easy to replace that side.I have the clutch puller.and I think the secondary clutch is just a bolt.how hard is the other side to change?it assume the fly wheel answer all has to come off.and need the special socket.
Thank you for all your help

Need a harmonic balancer puller for the flywheel. Mark the stator plate and case and remove the plate. Seal just pops out like the pto side. Look at this video on a 700 flywheel. Same way on pulling all the flywheels. Start at the 3:50 mark.
