Default Breathing new life into a 2003 Sportsman 400

Good day all -

I recently purchased a one owner 03 400 for my son and immediately got to fixing all the small things that were wrong with it.

To date, my son and I have fixed or replaced:

Carb
Throttle cable
Intake
Shifter linkage
Pulse (trigger coil) <-- this one made it run right
Pull start handle and rope
Spark Plug
Drained old fuel, added new and put cap full of seafoam for good measure

Took bike out for maiden voyage, it runs good, but I am now gett an annoying clicking in the front end. Searched here and found that it may be as simple as the front brakes. Before I go tearing back into it, are there any pointer from you experienced hands?
I initially thought it may have something to do with the front diff, but I could be mistaken here.

Hi and Welcome to this forum
MY 2 cents
Id try jacking it up and supporting all 4 wheels off ground spin front tires by hand see if you can create or locate noise < start up in 2x4 mode and put in gear[rev er up] see if front wheels are turning if so they shouldn't unless in or stuck in 4x4 mode[ Witch] you can test .May also be axle bearing also Maybe ripped cv boot hitting plastic a arm guard ?
keep us posted

I've had clicking in the front end at least a few times. It was always the simplest thing possible, a small stone in the brakes. If it doesn't fall out when I go back and forth and hit the brakes, I ride until it grinds down and falls out. Maybe not the best thing for the brakes, but when I'm hours away from home it works for me. I hope your problem is something simple too. Sometimes you get lucky.
