Default 2014 Polaris 570 Touring Gas gage flashing

I am looking to buy tomorrow another 2014 Polaris Sportsman 570 Touring

The 2014 has a small issue..doesn't effect the bikes function (running wise) but the fuel gauge is flashing on the dash.
I've read a ton about this...Seems like a common problem for the Polaris bikes.
Should i run from this?? or is an easy fix?

I've looked around the interweb and can't seem to locate for sale the fuel sending unit for sale.

Any advice asap.... Supposed to go pick this bike up tomorrow!!

Thanks for your advice in advance!!

Ive never had one out that specific model but have had several out of other units. What we always ran in to was the float itself is what is bad. Very SELDOM is it the float sensor. The material(not sure what it is) the float is made of, gets saturated(my guess) and will not float anymore. It will float in water, but drop it in fuel and it sinks. Its not a part you can buy separate from polaris. Maybe an aftermarket is out there now, but I've never found one. I have taken the float off another fuel pump that was bad that we have changed out and fixed it that way, but you have to find someone that has a unit with a bad pump assembly to get you the float. Its not a issue as far as running the unit.

I may have a float laying around but not sure. Would have to check if your interested if you do go get the machine.

My opinion, I wouldnt pass on a good machine for that issue. Worst case scenario the pump assembly gets replaced.

I wouldn't pass it up for that either. Somewhere on this forum I read about people replacing their floats. I recall one person using a float for something else and making it work, but don't know where they got it.

Default Fuel Gauge flashing

I just replaced the float on my 2009 800 touring. the problem I had was it was not reading fuel in the tank. I found the float on www.djstractorparts.com. My float SKU, DJSfloat-007. It worked great and fixed the problem. I am not sure if this is the exact float you will need but in the part description it will list what it fits.

They give the dimensions for it too which a lot of places don't. 1.4" Long, 1.145" Diameter, .17" Hole. That takes the guesswork out when you measure your float. And with 101 reviews so far they got 5 stars.
