Predator 50 electrical dead
#1
Hi all, I’m brand new here, I’ve read thru a bunch of old posts similar to my issue, but most are unresolved. Tried a few things that Mr old Polaris tech said to still no luck, hoping someone here has seen this issue and can help,
basically the kids quad was a crank but no start issue. Taillight, horn and engine cranking all worked fine until it didn’t. We thought that maybe the issue was the kill switch, horn and engine crank plastic assembly on the handlebar. Bought a new part and installed. Before installing the new part today i turned the key, hit the horn a couple times and tried to start the quad, all worked fine just the engine would start. Went ahead and started the replacement of the assembly. Got the new one plugged in and first thing i did was hit the horn a couple times. Which worked. Ok now on to the most important part, try cranking it over and see if it will actually start. And that’s when nothing worked. Now i have no taillight, horn or cranking. I checked the fuse under the seat which is good, 13.7 volts at the battery. Wiggled some wires looked things over for anything obvious and nothing sticks out at me. Anyone have any idea what the hell happened?
We’re heading to the Grand Canyon to go riding on Sunday, and my kids will be pissed if the quad ain’t fixed. Please help
