Thanks, Sandman; I saw that discussion and my dealer has ordered the parts. It sure would be nice if they also sent along a 'grommet' to plug the hole we have to drill for the screwdriver that tightens the clamp....

I was able to tighten down the clamp on my new Twin Air filter with a deep 7mm socket and a 1/4" ratchet without drilling anything.

Is the Twin Air shorter/narrower than the Uni or does it simply 'give' for lack of any internal steel mesh support?
Not only can't I get my hand in there and turn that ratchet; it's a mess with the super tacky oil we use, to boot. Figured that simply approaching it from the side would be easier; yet thanks for the tip.

I didn't have to bend the filter out of the way. I'm not sure if it's narrower than the Uni. It's about the same diameter as stock...

Question guys
Does the filter kit in the new Catalog help or take care of this issue?

I disassembled, checked and resealed the airbox this weekend. Mine wasen't too bad but I did see some gaps I didn't like. I fell in love with this thing the first time I seen one and never considered a side x side until the rzr... just had to have one. I should be getting all the air from the vent in the cab and we will see how clean that is next weekend.. It's a good idea to grease the seal around the filter housing and make sure the clamp on the filter is tight.. Polaris could have have done much better with the intake system design and hopefully they will impove it in furture models. They also need more plastic clearance from the exhaust header.. mine melted the fender well somewhat..

I'll slip a latex glove on for the tacky oil and I suppose "try 'er again" until the fix arrives; thanks.

I'm not sure what the kit conists of captn'; yet we run foam filters with a tacky aerosol spray (much easier than the bottled type) and douche same afterwards with any of the filter manufacturer's cleaners; which are great all around grease/dirt busters to have around the house for other jobs also.

I got the Twin Air oil for my filter and it is amazingly not too sticky. It's very thin and runny so the oil penetrates well into the air filter, then you just squeeze the excess out. The solvent evaporates and you end up with a well oiled filter. Much nicer then the thick sticky oil I used to use.
