I'm looking for some tips on installalling an audio system in my ranger. I bought a Alpine deck off a buddy for cheap, now i have to decide where to mount it. I would appreciate any info and if you have some pictures that would great.
Thanks, Greg

When I worked at a dealer we would sometimes use Marine audio components to mount decks. Like boxes, etc. I have also seen Agricultural decks/components used on cabless tractors used on Rangers. These components sometimes are water/weather proof and better suited to the elements. They really have to be capable of withstanding dusty conditions. I'm sure their are similar products specifically made for UTVs out there.

Alot of people around here put a top on them and mount the system under the roof.

I see polaris is making a system that mounts the deck in the glove box out of the elements and then you just use a remote to control. I have also seen them mounted in the dash.

I have a Lock-n-ride cab on mine, I went to a farm tractor dealer and purchased a stereo/speaker system that bolts to the top of the cab. It works very well and only cost about $150, the company I purchased it from also sells the unit without the radio so you can put your own in. If you are interested send me a message and I will try to find the company again.

I found it at this site: http://www.radioeng.com/index....&mainsrc=products/ag/

I bought unit: 760693
REI REC-2-3D Kit
I contacted them from the contact page and they put me in contact with the tractor dealer.
