Default Tire/Wheel Combi

What is the largest tire wheel combination I can fit on my 04 Ranger 4x4? The dang differential is so low I'm tired of having to pull the thing out of the snow. At the same time, I don't want to put such large tires on there I tax the heck out of the engine and trans.

Wow, does that require a rear end gear change like on a pick up?
