i have an 04 Polaris sportsman 400 thats stuck in 4x4

Default i have an 04 Polaris sportsman 400 thats stuck in 4x4

and its electric 4x4 so how do i get it out o 4x4 if its electric someone help thanks

sorry i ment 05 this is an 05 model i mean its not a manual 4wd is an electric 4wd

Does your AWD light go out on the switch, 2004 was the the first year the 400 Sportsman got the single centralized Hilliary in the front diff with the weaker plastic roller cage, when that breaks all kinds of strange AWD problems occur.

well there isnt a light on the actual switch but what i can tell u is that on the speedometer it shows that the 4wd is on and even if i go to flip the switch to 2wd
is still shows that 4wd is on which it sadly is i can see the prop shaft runing from the rear transmition to the front
moving when i go to drive it forword i hope u know what im talking about i suck with te names of parts

May just be a switch AWD problem, sounds like the DC current to your Hillary,s amature plate is not cutting out. Is the ATV in full time AWD, you will notice this if the ATV is very hard to steer.

yes it is i awd all the time and it is very hard to steer when im moving slow but when im flying down the road its not that bad but im used to riding with hard steering
