Angry cage problem?

I had the problem with a 2010 razr s four wheel drive not working quite right. In reverse the 4 wheel drive works great, in forward the rear wheels rotate 1 1/2 revolutions before the 4 wheel drive engages. the dealership just informed me that the cage in the front end is busted. They also said it would be a price tag of $500 to $600 to buy the cage. Anyone else have this problem. Thank you

Seen a few folks with that issue. You can get a good aluminum cage from superatv or off ebay way cheaper.

the only problem i have with buying the cage right now is the 4 wheel drive doesnt work in forward at all now but it still engages perfect in reverse. if i am sitting in it in forward and push the 4 wheel drive switch the light illuminates on the spedometer. when i put it in neutral the light goes out. when i put it in reverse the light comes on. Is there solenoids that activate the 4 wheel drive differently between forward and reverse. why would the cage work in reverse and not forward?

When the cage breaks the AWD will work like that. Will work in reverse but not forward or Visa versa.

Get a aftermarket metal cage for sure. Heres one for $139 with a video to instal it. POLARIS RZR/Ranger/Sportsman SPRAGUE CARRIER / FRONT ROLLER CAGE #550 : Polaris : RZR : ATV Accessories

Dealers are such a rip off.
