Default Lost Drive in all wheels

2015 Ranger crew diesel. 105 hrs. While moving up steep hill in two wheel drive lost power to all wheels. Started to smell a burning smell and immediately left wheel started to lock up or slip. I stopped shifted to neutral and rolled down to level ground. Shifted to forward, no drive in single, dual or all wheel. Same thing in reverse. Linkage appears to be operating properly. Had to tow it out of mountains.

Just had the diesel engine replaced under warranty at 97 hrs and had them do a 100 hr service at the same time.

Any advise on what can be wrong before I take to dealer?

Hopefully you just shredded a belt. Belt powers the transmission for rear wheel drive plus the prop shaft from the transmission to the front diff allows power for the front wheels to engage when switched into awd. 3211175 belt part number if needed.Optional heavy duty belt #3211193 offered also.
