so far the tach has been holding up ok. In the upper revs, it tends to "bounce" about 300 rpm's. But either way it gives me a good idea where my rpm's are so I can shift more accurately.

I really like the pod on the Baja as well. It's out of the way, but still in sight.

I don't really care for those that are close minded and ignorant either. To be honest, I had my clock cleaned out of the hole from a Z400. He had RAZR's on the back with about 1/2" of slimy mud and rain. My Baja is completely stock. He did have an advantage though. He was the one starting the race, and in doing so, he was dropping his weight (about 190 lbs) on the rear of the seat from standing upright. On the 3rd bounce, we would go. He would pull 3 lengths ahead of all of us, (Raptor with the DS fenders, Predator, and my DS) We all eventually caught and passed him. But he lost by no less than 3 lengths in an 1/8 mile strip in any of the drags.

Everything you say sounds correct. The problem is my friend put on the slip on, put some holes in the airbox K&N filter no jet change (should be lean) and started having the popping issue, he has since tried to jet up and it still continues.
