115 is the minimum recommended psi on a stock engine. Remove the spark plug, add about a teaspoon of oil in the hole, and try the test again, the compression should raise and if so, your rings are worn out and you need to re-build the top-end. If you have to re-build, do not put the factory piston back in, go with a Wiseco or equivalent aftermarket piston.

should i use the oil that im using for the gas or motor oil?im sure my dealer wont fix it under warrenty using aftermarket parts?when i first bought it he told me about the hotseat kit for it and said it would still be covered under warrenty does that sound right?

Injection oil will work. If he said it would be covered, then it should be.

It should be covered under warranty only if it was dealer installed equipment. It is only a year old and already needs rebuild? Something is not right then.

"low compression" is considered to be below 100 psi at sea level by Polaris. Yours should be fine.

The Polaris repair manual that I have states that the compression should be a minimum of 115 psi. If you are not having trouble starting it or it running ok, then I wouldn't worry about it unless the warranty is getting ready to run out.
