Default 03 Scrammy stalling out at high speeds

My bud has a 03 scrammy 400 2-stroker and he is having some problems with it. From what he tells me it runs fine but he sometimes rides roads to get home quicker and when he hits about 60 the quad actually just cuts out on him. It did it a few times and he started it back up and it was ok untill he went fast again. After the second time it happened he just took it easy home but the next day he tried to start it and it wont start now. Sounds like fuel maybe but he said it ran fine at low to mid range so im not really sure. Thought maybe someone here has had the same problem as I dont know a whole bunch about 2 strokes. Thanks.

I know this is a stupid question, but does it have fuel in it?I had a problem with mine doing the same thing, turned out it was a pinched fuel line from the tank.Has he done any mods to it as that could cause problems if not jetted right.Hope this helps.

He had his quad in the shop the day before this happened because he smoaked his belt but I cant see what they could have done to effect his scrammy this way. I will have to ask him if he checked the gas though because he is a bit slow sometimes He doesnt have any mods the the mechanical part of the machine. I will tell him to go over the fuel lines though. That makes sense to me. If a line is pinched a little it could get enough fuel to the carb when your just putting around but when you speed up maybe it just cant get the gas there fast enough.
