Default 2003 500 Scrammy blue ugly

Hi Guys,
My first time posting here, but I have been lurking for some time now.
I have been quading for about 12 years now and have owned several Quads (Mainly Polaris)
1983 Honda trike
1985 Yamaha Trike
1986 Honda Quad
1994 Polaris Trail Blazer
1995 Polaris 300 4x4
1995 Polaris Trail Blazer
1996 Polaris 400 Scrambler
1997 Polaris Trail Blazer
1999 Polaris 400 Scrambler
2003 Polaris 500 Scrambler

Love the sport!

My new Scrambler runs great.......to bad it looks crappy! The blue color is turning a chaulky white.
Anybody else notice this or am I just being picky? I realize that the most important thing is that it runs great.............but............damn! I want to look good too!!

Let me know what you think.

Thanks!
Pcat

Welcome!

I personally think that the blue looks cool, but not if it is turning white!!!. Ask your dealer, maybe they will replace it? If not, they have replacement plastic in any color (white, red, blue, yellow, black, freedom) that was made. Or you can order it from Partsland. They have the plastic there too. Other than these places, nobody else makes replacement plastic for Polaris

pcat, i
If you buy new plastic and you want to get rid of the blue let me know I will buy it from you. My 98SCR plastic has never been replaced and after 5 years you can imagine what it looks like. Faded blue will be alot better than fractured purple.

My Scrammy has some places where it's been scratched from the back of my boots and tank bags...this makes it look white in spots, I don't think there's anything to do about that though....I'm not terribly worried about it.....it's gonna get scratched and beat up from riding. I do wish it wasn't quite so easy to scratch and discolor.

Ya you guys are right.
who cares about the color. If it bugs me I will change, its not like the plastic cost very much.
I would prob go with the yellow. My buddy had a 400L and the color held up very well. After a year it still looked new.

Thanks for the input
.
Regards,
Pcat

I think you may have taken my post wrong. I have had these quads. The only ones I still have are the new 03 Sram & the trike.
I just can't seem to part with the trike. It is a blast to ride and is about as reliable as it gets.

Thanks for the replies.

Regards,
Peter
