IT IS FINALLY DONE!! After about a year of litigation and tons of money and time I finally won the law suit concerning my lemon.
1. Fuel fittings leaking on exhaust.
2. Coolant hose melting.
3. Stator went bad.
4. Greese zerks falling out.
5. Water pump leaking..3 Different fixes, 3 different leaks..
6. Winch mount design flawed when used with plow. Broke cable and damaged winch.
7. Electrical fire in unit burned all internal wiring.
I think I am missing something but have it in my paper work..Regardless, Polaris was extremely horrible in drawing this thing out. My attorney and Polaris's attorney showed up for jury selection and then they decided to settle. They told me to turn in my 2002 and pick out a brand new 2004. I laughed and said no. I turned in my unit and they wrote me a check for around $8800...I am now looking at a honda.....Customer satisfaction sucks!!!They truly don't care about there customers...They should have replaced my unit the first 2 months I was having problems. They dragged it out and now they have to pay my attorney fees..Around 10,000.....They lost a customer and got there piece of crap back.....I hope you all have better luck....Any comments?

Sorry to hear about your problems. I've had two of their quads, and they've both been great. Great customer service, and always very friendly people to take care of any burps. When you figure how many thousand units are sold, I guess there's bound to be a few problems. Happy Trails.

I know a guy that had a lemon 01 SP 500. Finally he got dealer support and Polaris gave him a new 500 4x4 Scrambler. He traded that off for a 02 SP 700. No problems to date. Screw Honda and get a Yamaha 660 Grizzly or a Kawi Prarie 700. JMO

WOW Flight !! Where did ya buy that HUMP at? Classic in TC ? I am just wondering which dealer you battled with. Cant believe one machine could be ILL-in that much !! Who was the salesperson that dumped on you and which mechanic checked out that piece........maybe recertification should be in that dealerships future !! I bought my Scrambler at Classic.

The Polaris is my 1st 4-wheeler when I wanted a Yam or Kaw. I dont regret getting the Polaris but I understand your desire to change brands.

TextGood Luck and BETTER LUCK with your next one. I'm glad you did'nt give up on ATV's alltogether

Hammerin Hank,
I should have mentioned this is my post...I bought the unit from East Jordan (Big Meadow Equipment). He worked with me on the price so I drove 70 miles to get it. Once the problems started happening, due to the distance, I started taking ti it Classic in Traverse City. The ATV only has 215 miles on it, which I also failed to mention. Anyways, let me tell you about Classic! I'm not sure about there sales dept., I have heard that they tend to not work with you on the price of units because of the location and they usually get what they ask. Everyone around here has money!!!! But concerning the service dept and especially the service manager...OUTSTANDING!! They always took care of me. Everyone in that shop has helped me with that unit. I'll be honest, sometimes I wish I would have taken the 2004. But, at this point in time, I needed the cash..I may get me another one later in time and If I go with another Polaris or Kawi, you bet I will be giving Classic my business. They are as far as I am concerned a top notch dealership thanks to there serevice department and manager....

Good luck with your next machine, if I were you I might think of an extended warranty next time no matter what brand you decide on.
