Just back from another rip on the test quad. HPD will be marketing the Vortex CDI box, but with their own curve programmed in. They're on the way now from Australia.

With only their pipe, and the box programmed, the machine is full of torque and revs very fast. Just like Darrell did with the 400, this thing pulls all the way through.

Finally got a chance to see the front and rear bumpers...the front with the lazer cut HPD logo is pretty sweet. The rear dual bar is a nifty piece. I remember when I first held one...seemed kinda wierd having the twin bars, but once it's on the machine, it's really slick. The top bar extends up for those needed deep mud rescues, and also can limit the snap back of your dune flag.

Like someone else posted, keep an eye on their website for product updates and availability.

Good job mate.
Seeing the rev limiter is blamed so often, its good to see it extended a bit.
Eight of my programes have it set at 9450.
One at standard.
One at 10150.

I really like the front bumper...think I might get one. I also notice that they have a pic of the triple rate springs in the pic of the mudscreen bumper. Kinda funny how they listed the high comp. pistons saying they require the cams, but don't offer the cams yet...kind of a tease..modquad, did you put them up to that?? [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] j/k. Can't wait for that pipe to come out. What will the cdi box set a persons wallet back to?

 

Didn't get into any specific prices on the up and coming gear....watch the site. He's presently lining up dyno time for the pipe, and some other gear. Just the custom program to allow you to make your own box program is around $1000. The cams are coming shortly. The shop was buzzin'. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
