apples to apples oranges to oranges, there is not a better, quicker,or more agile machine then the yfz at this moment.
how can you argue factory specs. the yfz has the highest hp to wieght ratio stock then any other quad ever produced.
the predator is nice. bring a stock one to race a bone stock yfz and the predator will lose. modify each machine equally and the predator will lose by a even bigger margin.
go dollar for dollar on mods, hell i'd even let the predator guy spend an extra grand on mods and i'll still beat him.
and i'll beat him in every facet of racing, whether it be cross country, mx, or drag, or desert.
i don't even wanna get into a pissing match about the raptor in this whole equation, cause raptors should be all means be the biggest baddest machines on the planet with that huge powerplant.a stock raptor only has 36 hp. lol thats funny.

need in say more? if so i probably won't. but for guys like propolaris, predator 500 and lugnut, why don't you go lay down somewhere, and quit bashing and name calling. if you can't present a intelligent arguement without bashing, or name calling then stay off the forums.
man this dude is realy full of it he may be a little crazy lol. hahahahahaha.

propolaris,
you need a reality check, brand loyalty is one thing but just blatant disrespect for a superior machine is crazy.
why is every single magazine ravving at the yfz and saying it's the best sport atv ever built, why are all the top racers, whether it be cross country or mx using the yfz and not the predator. you think there might be something you know that they don't know.
GET A CLUE. the predator is not in the same league of sport machines as the yfz.

Uh, Killer, maybe you should be the one doing the research. There's quite the blooming sport quad market, they all have some good and bad points. Choose your fave....us Polaris owners did. Funny thing, we seem to be the only ones content with our choice. Not every mag is "ravving" about the 450, nice machine, but it has it's short-comings also. Ride what you want.

Oh dont worry. I'm content. very content. If all the Polaris guys are so content, then how come they have a topic in the polaris forum based strictly on a totally different brand bike? HHMMM? I'm sure if the guys in the Yamaha forum started a thread that said PREDATOR HP NOT IMPRESSIVE, A bunch of the polaris guys would be over in the Yamaha forum seeing what's up.You don't see the Yamaha forum with to many topics based on a different brand. There usually just talking about there own stuff. But when you see a topic in the Yamaha forum that has anything to do with a Polaris, There's Polaris guys popping in seeing what's up. It goes on everywhere in here.

That's funny, I just popped over to the Yammi forum and there was the Predator on the front page.

Pro, I'm running the clamp-on K&N, with the W/B Pure Polaris. This last weekend, after working the required harescramble Pudljumper and i did some side by side runs with our Preds. He just installed the HMF silencer, he's waiting on the quiet core, so that wasn't installed, and it was free flowing, and pretty loud. I'm running the quiet core in mine, both have the same gearing. He'd get a bit of a jump, and pulled a bit. Now, this coming weekend, he'll have the quiet core in his, so we'll have to run 'em again. Both are quality silencers. Oh, he has the stock airbox w/ K&N drop-in. We'll probably have to switch machines to see if the young bucks relfexes are helping out.

actually, the dirt wheels magazine shows that the power to weight ratio with a piped ped is better then that of a piped 450

Lil Ridley, it's fun to watch you get flustered, cause the swearing surfaces, and some form of Jr. High name calling follows. If you're "ignoring this, then why were you here before, and still here now? Go ride your 450, have fun, and stop blowing so much insecurity smoke around here. Good grief pal, it's a nice machine, but don't think everyone out here is gonna agree with what you think. "Inexperienced"?, that's funny, I was building 500hp v-8's in high school, and running 747's in my later years....I could cover what I did in the middle, but that might bore some people. Oh, and I don't think podium finishes by Rath would be what you call "blown away" by another rider. Fold up your lawnchair sometime and race against him.....how can I say this w/o dipping too low....he'll easily hand you your nuggets in a bag.

This one time, at bandcamp, I was the fastest quad rider....I never left my lawnchair, and I beat the entire field.

Ridley, you have got to be kidding me!!! First of all no one has even come close to ducking you! YOU ARE A LEDGEND IN YOUR OWN MIND......I tried to keep this friendly but you keep saying that I have no *****....dude I told you WHEN AND WHERE!! you pulled the old ...that's to far to drive bull sh$t and keep crowing about how the whole world is afraid of you! I am suppose to drop everything and come to your back yard! Hell you better beat me on your own track assclown!!! Also get off the Daryl Rath bashing ....everyone knows the only race you watch he didn't do well....let's look at his results beyond that or better yet GO RACE HIM YOURSELF..you won't cause you are a total puss......now go back to ASSLAND and tell all your friends how great you are .....I don't need to hear your BS anymore.....Killer.....you are a tool ...how's that for name calling......the Pred is on the same level with the YZF but continue the shock treatments...you'll eventually be able to return to solid foods....Aussie ...Ken has made some great points ....Killer you say one dyno is OK and the others..the Polaris dynos are off.....you are the one in need of a reality check.....I ride with guys who have Cannondales, Hondas, DS's and Yamahas......it's a matter of choice...I think the real problem is that most people have been Polaris bashing for so long, they can't appreciate a great machine when it is unveiled...keep talking about the weight issue.....then go out and weight your bike once you get done adding all of your mods A arms, tires, axial, etc.... then come back and talk to me
