the sea level correction is now posted for those of you who thought the other yfz dyno was way off base. Looks to be right on track for whats being dynoed around here. just about 50 rwhp with a pipe, cam mod, and airbox lid removed. couple that with 65lbs less weight and the preds not going to come close in a drag or on a track. thats just the way it is, sorry.
if you can do it you can brag i havent seen it done yet mybe the kid that i raced wasnt a good rider. yeh right!!!!

there wont be any smoking going on. the predator will beat the yfz in a drag race on hard flat dirt. there not that much difference between the two accept weight. the predator has one hell of a top end pull and you no it. you just keep on supporting the forein companies and i will support american companies when we need it the most. if you americans will keep on supporting polaris they will keep on building the best quads.

well when polaris starts to build more and more real sport quads and quads ready to do battle on the track as well as the trail, and they have proven thier reliability i will be more then happy to buy another one. til then i will stick with the proven manufacturers.
the predator is the only real sport machine they've attempted to build, and granted it is a great first effort, now they need to build on it and go even more high tech,. they've always been a business to sit on thier laurels and say well thats good enough for now.
i like companies that are always on the front of cutting edge technology and like to put it in thier machines and pass it on to the customers that make their company possible.
i am a very patriotic person by all means, and i support my country and it's affiliates to the end, and i love to buy american and support the american workers. but nowadays it almost doesn't matter cause honda, yamaha, kawasaki, and suzuki all have manufacturing plants in the U.S. along with toyota and a few other japanese manufacturers, so don't come to me with this buy american crap anymore cause it's all made in america now.

Sitting on their laurels? Hmmm, the 700 twin, the Predator, the Victory Vegas, a jet boat, building quads for the military....wow, that's a whole lotta sittin' yea uninformed one.

Raced several YFZ450's up comp hill at Florence Oregon dunes this last weekend on my Piped/K&N'd and jetted Preddy........

Stock 450 I could sorta hang with, but he'd edge me a quad length or 2 by the top.

Piped YFZ was dang fast, and even beating banshees left and right. I was down 4-5 quad lengths.

These are fast machines guys, quick off the line, my 235 # weight along with the heavier Preddy weight makes them dang hard to beat.......

Raptors and Z400's are fun to play with, Z400's fall back, Raptors depends on the hole shot, and 400ex's need not apply.

fun fun fun.

one little response to raptor 03 get the f*ck out of the polaris forum! your raptor couldn't beat the predator and one more thing if the yfz only has 31 hp then my trailblazer 400 has more horse power than that think haahahahahahahah i saw it on www.hotseatperformance.com!
