you continue to be a royal idiot. i haven't seen anyone put up numbers of their predators.the predator doesn't have enough ***** to even get the dyno turning to put up any numbers.
i just posted a link of my dyno results with only a slip on and jetting.
now lets see a polaris make the same power with the same mods.
then lets see your polaris go out and finish on the podium in a national mx race with suspension mods only.kory ellis is doing it everyweek on a yfz. i couldn't finish on the podium of a national race with a jet quad. but i'm willing to bet that i could wax your **** in any type of race.

 

Alright, I'm going to back Ridley on a few things he said. I have read where he's come off as brash to some. I'm not going to argue this. I will argue that the Predator is better suited in the open class versus the 440 race class. Take a look at Rath's results this year.

Pro Production
VA- 1. Walsh 2. Lubrugh 3. Rath
NC- 1. Walsh 2. Meadows 3. Covington. Rath missed his heat race and couldn't race the main.
Ashtabula- 1. Farr 2. Meadows 3. Covington 4. Rath Rath was behind Dallas and Walsh before they wrecked allowing Rath to take 4th. I know it doesn't matter how you pass, it's a race and he got 4th.
Orrville 1. Walsh 2. Dallas 3. Meadows 4. Covington on a YFZ 5. Rath

Walsh, Meadows, Dallas and Farr ride a KFX or Z. Covington rides a Cannondale or a borrowered YFZ with a homemade pipe, open air box and cam mod. Luburgh a Cannondale.

Rath finished on 1 podium of the four races or three that he acutually raced. I'm not saying Rath is not capable. He is a great rider! I think the Predator is either little under powered and/or overweight for this class.

Now look at the Open class finishes

Open Pro Am
VA- 1. Morris 2. Rath 3. Bailey
NC- 1. Bailey 2. Rath 3. Detavernier
Ashtabula- 1. Morris 2. Brasnahan 3. Dallas 9. Rath
Orrville- 1. Bailey 2. Reisig 3. Morris 11. Rath He broke in the main and was in 3rd or 4th at the time.

In my opinion overall is the YFZ better than the Predator. I don't know! Is the YFZ better in the 440/450 race classes? Yes, with the Predator more suited for the Open class.

 

Ridley, do you write a race report for each class? I was at everyone of those races and watched every heat and main. (Pro Prod and Open Pro Am) I didn't remember these things until you mentioned them.

The YFZ Brad borrowers was wicked fast down the back straight away at Orrville. In the heat race he was out running Farr and Walsh down it.

I help Jackie at the nationals you should stop by the trailor. By the way you have a long drive to Greenbrier by tomorrow! I'm heading out tonight or in the morning. Hopefully, it doesn't get rained out!

well common sense is hard to come by these days especially when you are dealing whith predator envy. may they will make over the counter drug for these guys and they will be cured. i dont think the asprin will help. or maybe we could call it add. and make up a drug for them. or just take up a collection and buy them a predator that would cure them. YES I THINK THAT WOULD BE THE CURE.

 

What the hell are you smoking man? talking about no guts? WTF? because i dont come accross as a total a$$ like you? Yes i own a Pred, yes i love my pred, its a great bike, i'd take it over a YFZ for many reasons. Do i think it will beat a stock pred in a drag race..yes..to a point where i think the pred will eventually pull on it. I never said you go to other forums and talk $hit on other peoples bikes. Damn..Aussi was around in this forum long before you cam around and he loved his pred..he still does...so then what..he buys other quad and seems to have an opinion that differs from you and you slam him! he ownes BOTH quads..i think he could tell if one was quicker then the other. You need to get off this trip where the predator is the greatest thing to man next to sliced bread. Its a great quad..yes..im not doubting that..is it the greatest thing ever to happen to the ATV world? Probably not..do i think the YFZ is...nope..its also a great quad, but it hasnt totally impressed me either.

But dude, to start taking personall shots at people because they dont think "your bike" is as great as you claim it is..thats kinda stupid. If i came on this forum and wanted to know which bike either the pred or the YFZ would be better for me..who would i ask..YOU..who only own the pred, or Aussi, who ownes them both..doesnt hate either, likes em both...likes certain things about each one..damn, maybe one of those points would be the reason for me to get either bike. Damn my buddy owns a raptor and i like alot of things on his bike more so then my pred..but i still love my pred for alot more reasons..

FFS...you need to come down a minute and get off your Pred cloud..your giving alot of polaris owners a bad name. Your starting to come accross as a pretty imature child..

 

We all love are quads and thats what counts. Im sure if we ever all got together we would look at each other and laugh at one another and ride all day and get along just fine. You no when the new honda comes out this will start all over again. I think what counts is we love the sport, and there are alot of people "sierra club" and others that would like to see every atv and dirt bike be gone with the wind. We need to ban together and fight these yuppies and not each other, but then again a "little" comp amongst are selfs keeps things exciting. PEACE.

I agree with ya totally man! When im out on a run, i love to run into other quads, seeing what they've done to them, how well they're working and watching them do tricks and stuff. I can picture "other" people on this site however just sitting there and saying "you cant ride on my trails..your bikes not worthy!"
